There is no spam or timebomb in this version, but some Studio1 users have problems with integrated vst3 plug-in of melodyne.
I noticed that quite a few people who use Presonus Studio one, myself included, could not update to the latest version because of the "Celemony Melodyne" update requirement. Well I managed to require "Celemony.Melodyne.Editor.v2.1.0.45.STANDALONE.VST.VST3.x86.x64.REPACK.2", tested it and it works perfectly for me with the latest Studio One 2.0.6 update.
The integrated vst3 plug-in works for me also. Could be different for you though.
